Join JETAA for a picnic and walk around Riverdale Farm, a long-standing family favorite in the downtown core on Sunday, August 30th!
JETAA is excited to further the JET Programme mandate and present our first family-focused event to cater to our increasingly diverse membership. We are reaching out to all JET alumni, including those with kids and who want to stay involved with JETAA Toronto. Of course, a day in the park is a great day for anyone, so we’d love to see all of our alumni members, with or without children, out for an afternoon of relaxed fun.
Family Day Itinerary includes:
- 1pm – Meet at the blanket in the park that leads into Riverdale Farm (Carleton and Sumach)
- 2pm – Walking tour of Riverdale Farm, a 7.5-acre representation of a 19th century Ontario farm with lots of things to see and learn for kids of all ages
- 2:45pm – Return to the blanket meeting spot and head to Cabbagetown favorite “Park Snacks” at the Winchester Café for ice cream

Transportation and Parking:
Free but limited parking is available right near our meeting place on Carleton, east of Sumach for those driving in. For those on TTC, the 94 Wellesley bus out of Wellesley/Castlefrank, the 65 Parliament bus out of Castlefrank, or the 506 College Streetcar out of College/Broadview will all put you within a 5-minute walk of the park.

Depending on the turnout, we may need to split into smaller groups to avoid kiddie gridlock.
