The Japanese Community Boat Cruise is back! On Sunday, July 14 join the JCSA with CJS, JAVA, JETAA, and Japanada for a summer sunset cruise around the Toronto Harbor.
Enjoy dramatic scenery on the deck, or drinks, music, & dancing inside the gorgeous 175-person Pioneer Queen cruise boat. Wear your yukata, kimono, traditional attire, or even cosplay and receive a prize. Friends from Japan, Canada, or any background welcome. (more…)

Many people may joke that Canada only has three seasons: winter, summer and construction season. Many Japanese people also may be shocked to learn that Canada has more than just winter. However, all Canadians know that ours is a country of four seasons, no matter how long or short-lived they may seem. Compared to the Japanese, though, we don’t tend to celebrate seasonal distinctions in quite the same manner.
