We are pleased to offer JLPT-focus Japanese classes to JETAA Toronto alumni!
This class is geared towards individuals who are at the level of taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2/N3 this year (or other levels, but we’re focusing on N2 and N3). We strongly encourage students to take the JLPT exam in December, however it is not a requirement for the class.
As the class has a limited number of seats available, please send an e-mail to Sonia at treasurer@staging.jetaatoronto.ca. Let us know as soon as possible or by October 7.
Please provide the following application details in your email:
1) Name
2) Email address
3) Phone number
4) Years on JET (eg. 2005-2008)
5) Location on JET
6) Japanese courses taken, JLPT level, etc.

The breathtaking cherry blossoms and beautiful weather were in perfect harmony for JETAA Toronto’s 5th Annual Hanami Picnic in High Park on Saturday, May 7th. Thanks to the support of members from U of T’s JCSA and JAVA, there were over 150 people in attendance throughout the day.
Our group arrived early enough to lay down the large blue tarps and claim our territory in what was undoubtedly one of the best spots in High Park for prime cherry blossom viewing. Beneath the picturesque flowers, everyone enjoyed a potluck-style meal, which featured an array of food, drinks and popular Japanese snacks.
