Our Executive Committee objectives are as follows:

2. To liaise with Japan-related organizations in Toronto, and
3. To promote the growth and success of the JET Programme.
Being part of the Executive Committee is a great opportunity to work with an excellent volunteer group who work to make a difference. We’re sending a shout-out to those interested in joining an energetic group of people!

The Positions Available Are:
Our AGM this year was a huge success! It was wonderful to see newly returned JETs coming out and mingling with veteran alumni members. We had Nha-Thy Vo, a senior member of the JETAA Quebec/Atlantic team, join us. The meeting began with an overview of the various activities and events JETAA Toronto hosted during the 2011 year. The group discussed and voted in our new bylaws (which will be posted to the website shortly). The bylaws were passed with an overwhelming result of 87%.
The remaining part of the AGM was used to discuss and vote for the new representatives of the 2012 JETAA executive committee. The following are the results for the 2012 JETAA executive team:
At our AGM/Shinnenkai in January we voted in a brand new JETAA Toronto Executive for 2011/2012. All positions will officially start in April, and we are currently working hard on making it a smooth transition.
Several of the past year’s Executive members have had some exciting life changes this past year, from marriage to babies to moves overseas, so we have a lot of new faces this year in addition to a few returning veterans.
JETAA Toronto would like to acknowledge all of the effort and energy that the 2010/11 Executive put into the past year. It’s only through your hard work that we have been able to accomplish what we have.

It’s a new year already — at least for those on the Gregorian calendar! This means it’s time to start thinking about the coming year for JETAA and who will form the new executive committee. On Saturday, January 29th, JETAA Toronto will be holding our Annual General Meeting, at which the year’s activities and events are reviewed and the 2011 executive will be chosen.
