With all the snow and wintry weather these past few weeks, the time is ripe for some downhill action.
So we have come up with an event for February that will knock the stuffing out of those winter blues. For one low price, you get full day lift pass at Snow Valley near Barrie, ON, a ski or snowboard rental, one lesson (if needed) and transportation to the hill and and back from Yonge & York Mills.
Whether you’re a former Olympian, or a total newbie to the slopes, this should be an excellent day for all skill levels. Here are the details:
Date: Saturday, February 5, 2011
Time: 7:45 am meet-up, return at around 6 pm (based on a full day’s skiing)
Ski Hill Location: Snow Valley, near Barrie (map)
Meet-Up: 7:45 am sharp at the northeast corner of York Mills/Yonge just outside York Mills subway stop. Look for the yellow schoolbus.
Cost for JETAA members: $70 including transport to and from hill, lift ticket, ski/snowboard rental and a lesson. $60 without rentals or lessons.
Cost for Non-Members: $80 including transport, lift ticket, rentals, lesson.
