JETAA Toronto was proud to be a presenter for the Canadian premier of The Inerasable on June 10th at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre as part of their annual Toronto Japanese Film Festival. We at JETAA Toronto would like to thank all in attendance, and express our thanks for the continuing relationship with the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.

The film centred around a horror/mystery novelist as some of the supernatural reports she receives for, inspiration seem to becoming a bit too believable. When one contact in particular begins dealing with an increasingly dire outlook based on her haunting; the author joins her with a small circle of fellow authors and acquaintances in order to uncover the mystery.

The story had many layers which kept unfolding, and despite a somewhat slow pacing, resulted in a very tense and fulfilling final moments. While billed as a horror or thriller film, it was most often a heartwarming, and also melancholic mystery story. That being said, in the final ten minutes, the film’s strong visuals come together for a few impressively unsettling and surprising moments.
