Members of JETAA Toronto have joined much of the world, watching in shock and sadness as the extent of the devastation caused by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan has become evident.
Many of us have friends in the hardest hit areas and seeing this happen to a country and people we came to know and love has been hard, especially when most of us are far away.
But we are not helpless! We can lend our support in many ways. That is why on April 1, JETAA Toronto will host a special fundraising event in support of the rescue, relief and rebuilding efforts so needed in Japan.
The event will take place from 8 pm til 2 am at the Hard Rock Café at 279 Yonge St. Tickets at the door will be $20 per person.
There will be live bands, and a silent auction with trips to New York, CN Tower tours and other prizes. All proceeds will go to the Canadian Red Cross’s efforts in Japan.
We urge you to come out, gather your friends and colleagues and support this important cause.
