On February 18th an enthusiastic group of JET alumni and friends headed out to learn a very Canadian Sport: curling. We gathered at a local pub where we enjoyed good food and amazing company. With some people having a bit more courage (the liquid kind), we headed over to the curling club.
We were given a lesson by our gracious host at the High Park Club. We were then on our own. The group had an amazing time with most people trying the sport for the very first time and doing quite well. The group was quite animated as we cheered on the sweepers to “sweep harder”!
It was a blast surely to be repeated in the future. Make sure you sign up quickly the next time it comes around as there is a limit to the numbers on the ice.
