Pottery Making at Secret Teatime
On Saturday Dec, 7th JETAA teamed up with Secret Teatime to create a pottery making workshop. Secret Teatime is run by two very talented JET alumni, Helen Kong and Sorlie Madox, who are passionate about Japanese pottery and love to share this passion with others.

The Pottery workshop at Secret Teatime ran in two sessions of 8 participants and lasted two hours, throughout which the instructors Helen and Sorlie demonstrated and helped participants create three Japanese teacups.
The hands-on techniques involved were not difficult and even beginners were able to walk away feeling good about their creations.
A week later, after the cups were fired in the kiln and finished with glaze, the final products were amazing and a testimony of hard work. Thank you Helen and Sorlie for putting together such a great and easy workshop. We look forward to upcoming events.
