On the afternoon of Sunday May 18th, JETAA, JCSA, JAVA, CJS, Japanada, the Kimono Club, DoSoKai & UTJA teamed up with the annual Sakoola Hanami Picnic at High Park in Toronto. This annual event which celebrates Hanami (花見), or the Japanese custom of “flower viewing” was again a great success with over 150 attendees stopping in at High Park to chat over spring snacks, treats and goodies.
Although rain clouds found their way to the park later in the afternoon, the day was a great success. Thanks to the organizers and to all those who came out to enjoy the cherry blossoms. See you next year!
