For the third year, the Summer Matsuri at Yonge and Dundas Square was a huge success. On Sunday, July 27th, tens of thousands of Torontonians and Pan-Am Tourists visited the festival, taking in Japanese culture in the form of entertainment, food venders, and information from Japanese  community organizations, including JETAA Toronto.

The weather was just as hot as Wasabi Pea Race, with contestants pairing up to battle for the title of Chopstick Champion. This year, the equally popular Japan pin map made its debut, drawing attention from those who have lived or who have wanted to visit Japan. It definitely raised interesting conversations about Japan and brought nostalgic memories for those who have spent some time there.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out at the booth and for all those who visited us. See you next year!
