Event Report Trampoline Dodgeball

On Saturday, March 28, a brave crew of Toronto JETAA members entered the world of trampolines, dodgeball and foam pits at Sky Zone Toronto for the very first time!

We trickled into the spacious indoor Sky Zone Trampoline Park before 9pm. Children and teenagers ran around in bright orange socks, parents trudged along with sweaty foreheads and smiles on their faces, and in the distance, little specks of bouncing people could be seen through black netting surrounding the trampolines.

Event Report: Kitchener-Waterloo Subchapter Ice-skating

Big Jenga!

On Saturday, February 28, a motley crew of Toronto JETAA members set off for a new land, known only by a mysterious acronym: KW. They had heard tales of ex-JETs living in this strangely-named land and were determined to find them. They piled into cars, with only a Google map and a map sent by a KW JET to guide them.

After an arduous journey, they arrived at St Jacob’s Market. They had read that this market offered many tasty treats, from sausage to hummus to extravagant apple fritters. While all manner of snacks were consumed, the mysterious KW JETs were yet to be found. (more…)

Event Report: 2015 JETAA AGM and Bylaw Amendments

JETAA Toronto members gathered for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, January 31st. The AGM is a chance for the chapter’s membership to hear about the year in review, how the year’s funding was allocated, discuss and vote on any changes to the bylaws, and of course, elect new officers to the executive committee.

Following the meeting, a light supper was enjoyed by all, and in the tradition of many a JETAA event, a nijikai ensued – this one at nearby pub PJ O’Brien’s. (more…)
