On Saturday, April 16, 13 brave JETAA members and friends set out in the pouring rain to Toronto Rock Climbing Academy for a three-hour climbing session.
With most of the group having never climbed before, the morning started with a beginner lesson in harnesses, knot-tying, carabiners, GRIGRIs and proper belay form.

Members of JETAA Toronto have joined much of the world, watching in shock and sadness as the extent of the devastation caused by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan has become evident.
Many of us have friends in the hardest hit areas and seeing this happen to a country and people we came to know and love has been hard, especially when most of us are far away.
But we are not helpless! We can lend our support in many ways. That is why on April 1, JETAA Toronto will host a special fundraising event in support of the rescue, relief and rebuilding efforts so needed in Japan.
