Folks, Curling Is Not Hard!

On February 18th an enthusiastic group of JET alumni and friends headed out to learn a very Canadian Sport: curling. We gathered at a local pub where we enjoyed good food and amazing company. With some people having a bit more courage (the liquid kind), we headed over to the curling club.

Funded Japanese Lessons With JETAA

We are pleased to offer JLPT-focus Japanese classes to JETAA Toronto alumni! Lessons will be half conversational, half structured lesson.

Dates: Mondays, March 5, 12, 19, 26; April 2, 16, 23. (total number of classes: 7)
Time: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Location: Toronto Reference Library. 789 Yonge St. (1 block north of Yonge & Bloor) Meeting Room B1
Fee: $70 (deposit*) + course materials

* The fee for the course will act as a deposit. It will be returned to individuals who complete 5 or more lessons of the course. For those who attend less than 5 classes, $10 will be deducted from the deposit per missed class. In addition, the costs for course materials used in class are approximately $10. On the first day of class, please bring your deposit cheque payable to JETAA Toronto.

Note: Based on the number of responses that we receive, there may be more people interested in taking classes than there are seats available in the session. If so, we will create a waitlist for students based on a first-come first-serve basis, their application, and payment of deposit.
