JETAA Toronto’s 2010 Career and Re-Entry Conference at the Japan Foundation was another successful edition of one of our most important events.
Fourteen participants interacted with 8 JETAA volunteers from various professions. It was a great chance for some networking and discussing various career paths for former JETS. Other topics covered by the volunteer presenters were their experience in Japan, life in Toronto and plans for the future. In addition to some “fresh off the boat” returnees, other participants had been back for several years and looking to reconnect. At the end of a long, fun-filled day the troops shuffled over to the nearby Bedford Academy Pub for a nijikai.
It was great to welcome the new JETAA members back to Canada. For those who couldn’t make it we invite you to come out and introduce yourselves at any of our upcoming events.
