On the first evening of October, JETAA Toronto welcomed back newly returned JETs at the Duke of York. October rain had washed the streets of the Annex and it was a chilly night. Yet we were all settled inside, cozy and comfortable, chattering away about Japan and our beautiful memories there.
As we snacked on appetizers provided by JETAA Toronto, returnee JETs raved about their myriad of unforgettable experiences in Japan, and senpai JETs handed out tips on how to settle back in Toronto.
Toronto returnees were bursting with vibrant energy, full of hopes for new possibilities in their home city, eager to find a connection to Japan right here in Toronto. It was wonderful to connect with so many people who share similar interests.
