Back by popular demand, JETAA teamed up with Secret Teatime and hosted two back-to-back pottery workshop sessions on Saturday, Dec 5th and Sunday, Dec 6th. Since this is the 3rd year running this event, we were happy to see a mix of new and returning participants.
The workshops were once again led by the very talented owners, Helen Kong and Sorlie Madox. Their knowledge, passion, and love for pottery is forever contagious!
We had a total of 16 participants and each session lasted three hours. Everyone had the opportunity to make three tea cups or two bowls. There were different clay, molds, and stamps available to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
The magic that brings it all together is the beautiful glazing processes at the end! Depending on specific taste and style, there’s a variety of wonderful glazes to choose from. The process of glazing usually takes a couple of weeks before the pieces are ready for pick up.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the event! For more information on studio hours, workshop sessions, and customized pieces, you can contact Helen and Sorlie at secretteatime@gmail.com or you can also visit their website at http://www.secretteatime.com.
