The fourth annual JETAA Career Roundtable was held on Thursday, November 10. This year we once again had a great turnout, with recently returned JETs, as well as more established members looking for career inspiration.

The evening was organized into four breakout sessions, with two speakers to choose from per session. Our eight brilliant speakers were:

Following the talks, the alumni and guests enjoyed our networking wine and cheese reception, with several recruiters for Japanese companies also mingling with the group. Once again, one of the draws of the evening was our professional headshot pop-up studio, with our photographer, Nick Jones. All those who took professional headshots – your photos will be available soon.

We at JETAA Toronto would like to extend our deepest thanks to Ontario Bar Association for hosting us in their excellent space. A great big thank you to all our speakers this year who shared their expertise. Last but not least, we would also like to thank our wonderful volunteers, as well as Marcia Iwasaki from the Consulate-General or Japan.

If you missed this event, have no fear – many great events are just around the corner. For upcoming events, keep an eye on our website, as well as our Facebook page here. We hope to see you all soon!
